What We Do

 T1D Children

When your child is diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes it can feel like your world is turned upside down. The first few weeks following diagnoses is typically scary and overwhelming. I’m here to help you establish healthy routines for your child and your family and will set your child up for success.

With my program, you can expect to learn the following:

  • How to adjust insulin for sports and activities to prevent low blood sugars and rebound high blood sugars.

  • How to manage diabetes during puberty (the hardest years!) and how to adjust insulin through growth spurts

  • How to prepare for your child’s first sleepover, camping trip and time away from you.

  • What are ketones and how to manage them during illness.

  • Successful insulin pump strategies and advanced pump features
